SPINAL DECOMPRESSION
What is Spinal Decompression?
Spinal Decompression is an advancement in traction technology used primarily to treat disc injuries in the lower back and neck.
How Does it Work?
Patients lie on a specialized table and a set of straps or supports are applied, designed to target level(s) of your injury. A series of distraction forces followed by partial relaxation creates an "unloading force" in the spine. This unique approach can help reduce bulging or herniated disc material and allows fluids to enter the disc, restoring function and motion to the spine.
Why would this type of therapy be used?
Bulging, herniated or degenerative discs, facet syndrome, sciatica, failed back surgery syndrome, leg pain, numbness, burning pains, neck or arm pain and weakness can all be associated with disc injury or disc related pain.
What are the benefits?
Reduces painful symptoms, decreases local swelling, promotes muscle tone, and restores normal movements.
